2023 JBR Vineyards “Angel's Rest” Riesling Review & Interview with Jessee Ring | Wine Characters
This German Kabinett-style Riesling is pale yellow in the glass, with citrus, stone fruit, and honey on the nose. Creamy textured and fruit-forward off-dry, with crisp acidity and tropical fruit on the palate. Both the winemaker, Jesse Ring, and the grapes are from Southwest Virginia wine Country.
Drink It Now, chilled, and with food in mind. Sharp cheese and charcuterie are a good place to start. Pair it with spicy Asian food, Indian Curry, spicy Mexican sauces, smoked salmon, or ham. Just in time for the holidays.
