Winter Tastings at JBR Vineyards

During the winter months, JBR Vineyards is open by appointment to offer a more personal and relaxed wine experience.

When you visit by appointment, we open the winery just for you — no crowds, no rush, and plenty of time to enjoy our estate-grown Riesling and Pinot Noir, wines uncommon for Virginia. It’s a quieter season, perfect for thoughtful tastings, meaningful conversation, and a deeper connection to the vineyard and the wines.

Appointments are available with a few days’ notice and are ideal for couples, friends, and small groups looking for something special.

We’re also continuing our delivery service within a 50-mile radius, with a 6-bottle minimum order, so you can enjoy our wines all winter long from the comfort of home.

Follow the signs — don’t use GPS.

We are located off Route 100 between Dublin and Pearisburg. GPS is not advised, as your navigation system will likely steer you wrong!

Driving Directions:

From Interstate 81:

1. Take exit 98.
2. Take route 100 north.
3. Go approximately 14 miles on Rt. 100 to Staffordsville.
4. At Staffordsville, turn right on Rt. 730 – Eggleston Rd; there is a sign
5. Turn right on Bear Spring Rd; there is a sign (DO NOT go to Eggleston)
6. Turn right on Springdale Rd; there is a sign
7. Go 2.9 miles. The vineyard/winery is on your right, just past a hairpin curve.

From Route 460:

1. From 460, turn onto Eggleston Rd, Rt. 730
2. Go approximately 10 miles.
3. Turn left onto Bear Spring Rd. There is a sign.
4. Continue with #6 above
